Even when we are totally convinced that God is worthy of our trust, it's sometimes hard to live that trust out especially when it involves our children. We just can't stand the thought of them in danger & we've always stood between them & anything that would hurt them. But they are adults & we have to give God room to work in their hearts. We keep the lines open by loving them without reservation but respecting their decisions. I LOVE the way Bruce backs her up & encourages her through the hard times. They have found their love & their faith is solid.The story is well written & flows so smoothly that you feel like you are there. As book 2 of the series, it could comfortably be read as a stand alone but you will enjoy it so much more if you read book 1 first.
I was so blown away by this story. Wendy and Bruce have come a long way in a very short time. Paige, Wendy’s daughter, has been a real challenge, but her mother hasn’t given up on her and neither has Bruce. They both love their kids as much, if not more than God. So far Wendy has been able to accept the issues thrown in her path. And there are some big issues. Bruce has been there for her at every turn. This story is so insightful. I think it’s a very important read.
Best book I have read in a very long time! How refreshing to read a romance between mature adults. This book is much more than a romance though. It deals with our relationship with God. It deals wth homeless and with family dynamics. It also deals with the impact in a family when they discover a member is gay. This book explores a mature romance but alsomany problems in our society and handles them in a Christian way.
I wish there were more than 5 stars to rate this story! I completely feel in love with the family, so much I truly identified with the mother as she dealt with changes in her family. It caused so many different emotions...but God is good all the time!
And again . . . she writes an amazing story that makes you want to be part of it!! Broken lives, amazing marriage, salvation . . . .this book has it all!!
This book was well written, couldn't stop reading. Loved it from the first page to the last. Would recommend these books to anyone, can't wait for book 3.
Loved Redbook as well as first! Lots of ups and downs would have liked a better ending but it was understandable. Looking forward to hire one
