Even in a series - any one book should have a beginning and an end. This so-called book - vastly overpriced at $2.99 - has neither a beginning nor an end. It is nothing more than a bridge between the first and third books in the series. This entire book beginning to end consists of various characters wandering around at ill-defined sometimes non-existent locations between central Oregon and central California. First book in series was okay, so I bought the 2nd but I certainly will NOT buy the 3rd.
Don't you just hate it when that happens! Looks like things are looking up for Jack and then book the adventure ends and you have to wait for the next book. Lol. Love this author s work
Great continuation of a very good series. Again, read in one sitting. Look forward to book #3 at some point. In the meantime I just got Keith Taylor's Willow Falls series. I like Mr. Taylor's books.
Great read you just can put it down . I read all 3 of the books in 4 day . My wife and kids mist me . Enjoy
Good book at a good price.
READABLE
I won’t post any spoilers, but I can tell you this. Both the wife and the husband possess that contrived, stubborn naivete that shows up frequently in novels. It made the plot seem forced, and it bothered me enough that by the end, I didn't care what happened to the characters and decided not to read the next installment. I wish the author well, but I prefer characters I can root for. Rating: It was okay, enough to rate it 3.25 stars.
Enjoyed the book and characters, kind of edge of your seat thriller and realistic all at the same time. All to scary. Can't wait until the next book.
