About the Author
Dr. Eriko Sato is Assistant Professor in the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She teaches Japanese language, linguistics and pedagogy as well as translation studies and acquisition of Asian languages. She serves as the adviser for teacher education program for Japanese. Dr. Sato developed numerous courses including the first online Japanese course at her University. I gave it to my husband and he loved ot. He has been studying Japanese for almost 2 years and wanted to learn more about kanjis. He told me that the difference between this book and general books is that this book has not only the drawing ways to write but also the explanation and exemples of how and when to use the kanji.I am so glad he has enjoyed this book.
Great book and easy to understand. I have a trip to Japan so this helps a lot with the language barrier. Once I finish this I hope to get the second book.
