Review

"Exciting nonfiction books for kids just beyond the beginner stage can be hard to come by, and the story of the sinking of the Titanic and its subsequent rediscovery will be the ticket for both hard-to-please young 'real stuff' buffs and older reluctant readers. The descriptions of the ship and action are clear, facts are accurate, and the watercolor illustrations convey the high drama of the sinking. A must."--School Library Journal.

My five year old grandson absolutely loves this book. He has brought it home from his school's library several times. His mom, dad and I have all read it to him. This book is different like the original Titanic. This is not a luxury liner. There was the ocean voyage and suspense of survival that he loves. In this book there is a happy ending with people working together and helping each other. The ending is a special lesson for children about love, hope and friendship. I finally put this one my Kindle so I have it on hand to read to him whenever he wants.

My 7 year old son is currently a Titanic fanatic. He loved this book. It's great for kids, while keeping to the facts of what happened to ill fated luxury liner. He has enjoyed reading it over and over.

I used this in homeschool to combine reading and history. I expected my ten-year-old to read a chapter a day and once she sat down with it, she read the whole thing. It was easy to understand at her level anytime I can get her excited about learning is great. I use these books often when home schooling.

Kids will love this book if they are into the Titanic.

My grandson loves this book. He is obsessed with the Titanic.

These are great books for children learning to read and for children who don't like to read "long: books. Also these books have a ton of information in them that keep my children interested on reading to the next page. I find that my children will read these books over and over again.

I love these series. But most important that my son does. I got 40+ books and he loves to read them (usually it is not that easy to make him read). I got mix of 2-3-4 levels for the second grader, second level is too easy, but it creates some fun and he reads them with pleasure. Love it, I would recommend it.

I ordered this book for my grandson so he would have a copy to read at home. This book was his favorite book to read when he came to visit his grandparents. He loved this story. 🚢
